The director of a marketing agency wanted to develop her leadership skills and get the best from her team. Whilst the team were all talented, she wanted to know how to enable them to realise their individual potential and bring them together collectively to become a high performing team.
Having initially rolled Insights Discovery© profiles out across the team members through 1:1 coaching conversations, we then held quarterly team events bringing the team together as a whole. Each session was designed to enable the team to deepen their relationships, recognise their individual communication styles and appreciate the value each of them brings to the collective. The team have then continued to strengthen their performance through collaboratively designing the team purpose and vision and identifying tangible actions to take away each time. This has ensured the performance bar continues to rise as the approach is embedded and they remain focused on their collective vision. Outside of the team sessions, the director is able to tailor her management style to them individually to support their development.
